Pointe a Pitre is the economic capital of Guadeloupe, a Caribbean island of the lesser Antilles and a French Department.

Flight from Europa
First, fly to Paris (either CDG or ORY airports).
Then, fly to Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe, Pole Caraibe Airport (PTP) with the following companies.

Flight from North America
Several companies directly serve Guadeloupe (PTP airport). You can also fly to Saint Martin and then to Guadeloupe.

Flight from Asia & Australia
Fly to Miami or Montreal (see above). Then, take a direct flight to Guadeloupe (PTP airport).

Visa requirements
The visa requirements for business and for travel purposes are governed by the following conditions and rules:

Passports – Required
Passports must be valid for intended length of stay.

Visas – Required (for less than 90 days), but NOT by the following:

• Nationals from all European Union, European Economic Space countries and Switzerland ;
• Nationals from the following countries : Albania* , Andorra, Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Bosnia, Brunei, Canada, Chili, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Malaysia, Maurice, Monaco, Nicaragua, New Zeeland, Panama, Paraguay, Saint-Kitts & Nevis San-Marino, , Seychelles, Taiwan*, Uruguay, Montenegro*, ARYM* and Serbia* ;

*biometric passports only

• National s from Australia, Brazil (except French Guiana), South Korea, United States, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Venezuela.
• Nationals from the special administrative region of Hong Kong (PRC) and the special administrative region of Macao (PRC).

Car rental
There are a lot of car rentals at the Airport but advance booking is essential. It’s often easier to book a package (flight+car).

Conference venue and hotel are situated 10’ from the airport by taxi. The cost varies between 20 and 25 euros.
